“The highest tea growing estate in the World” Camp amidst the tea plantations – not just a simple one, but the Highest Organic Tea Estate of the World. Kolukkumalai, a small tea plantation village near Munnar is known for the tea grown in this region which is supposed to have the best flavour due to the high altitude and organic plantation. After visiting this amazing plantation, you will get a chance to see the processing of tea in one of the tea factories. This is the perfect opportunity for you to learn more about the work that goes into tea manufacturing. The next time you sip a cup of tea, you will be able to remember this beautiful experience.

Itinerary

Day 1Feb 6

• Starting from Kochi South station 9AM. • 2 pm Report at Suryanelli, from where we get our Jeeps. • Jeep ride to Kolukkumalai base camp. • Tents will be assigned on reaching. • Evening tea at 5 pm. • Campfire and light music • Dinner will be served at 9pm

Day 2Feb 7

• Start the day with a walk to the sunrise point at 4.30 am. • Back to the base camp by 7am. • Breakfast will be served at 8 am. • At 9 we start trekking to the highest point in Kolukkumalai. • Lunch will be served at 1pm. • Jeep ride back to Suryanelli. • Drop off at Eranakulam South Railway station before 8PM

Why the joining point is Kochi why not anywhere in Kerala ?

As people are joining from different part of Kerala and India its difficult to manage them. So picking up from everywhere is not possible.

Will I get any companions to travel from my city?

Offcourse, once you register and pay, you will get added to the group of traveller who is in for this trip. There you can see other people who travelling from your city

Do we need to carry our bags everywhere?

No. During the stay at each places you can keep the bag at your room.

Do I need to carry any blankets?

No. The campsite will provide pillows, blankets and other necessities for the stay

Can I take my kid along with me in this trip?

Yes but the charges depending on the age group

This trip included trekking?

Yes. But those who want to opt out can stay back at campsite

After payment, if I cancel the trip, will I get a refund?

It’s strictly as per cancellation policy which is written below. So please read it before making any payment after registration

Whats the age limit for this trip?

Will there be leaches?

It’s depending on the weather. If it’s sunny, there will not be much but still as we are camping in the forest, we can expect leaches as it’s their territory.

What is the level trekking and how long it is?

Moderate and up-down 4km

COVID Exclusive Terms & Conditions

If the travellers who have registered and paid for the trip, are tested COVID Positive, anytime before the trip begins, refund will be as per the normal cancellation policy

If the area from which a traveller is coming, has been categorised as a containment zone, due to which the traveller is not able to join the trip, refund will be as per the normal cancellation policy

In case if the trip is cancelled due to the destination being containment zoned or such covid scenario due to which it is impossible to visit, then, 50% of the trip amount will be refunded to the travellers. (The trip amount includes only the trip cost of Rs. 4000)

Cancellation Terms and Policy

For cancellations done prior to the 30 days or more of the date of departure, initial deposit amount or 25% of the tour cost (if fully paid) will be charged as cancellation charges.

For cancellations done between 29 days to 15 days prior to the date of departure, 50% of the tour cost will be charged as cancellation charges.

For cancellations done between 14 days to 8 days of the tour, 75% of the tour cost will be charged as cancellation charges.

For cancellations done within 8 days of the tour, 100% cancellation charges will apply and you will receive no refunds.

Other Terms

Any additional costs due to weather / unforeseen situations, will have to be borne by the traveller.
Our team reserves the right to change the plan in case there is danger involved for the group.
No show and trip changes/cancellation due to bad weather or natural calamity will be non-refundable.
