Know before you go

  • Avoid using plastic bags and maintain the ecological balance of the destinations. Travelers littering may be fined.
  • Carry dry snacks/food, granola bars, etc. from home. Carry a regular and another insulated water bottle with you, so that you can refill.
  • We are visiting heritage monuments and palaces and requesting travellers not to climb on monuments or sculptures which cause damage to the structure
  • We have only one pick up from the airport. Anyone who are reaching very early, please make necessary arrangements or wait for our pick up at airport. Drop off also will do as the pick up (09:00AM will start from Udaipur hotel on Day 07)
  • Personal identification is mandatory to carry on tour for Air Travel, Hotels for security reasons like: election card, Driving License, Passport
  • ⁠In the region, scarcity of water & electricity is a natural phenomenon. Guests are requested to bear such problems as may arise during the tour
  • The weather is unpredictable.
  • Rajasthan is a shopping destination for many. Those who are into shopping, we are requesting them to reach early for shopping at Jaipur and do as they like. For Udaipur you can book late flight for the same. We will not encourage any kind of delay during sightseeing due to shopping at each destination.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Jan 19 | Arrival in Jaipur

⁠Pick-up from Jaipur Airport at 4:00 PM.
•⁠ ⁠Travelers arriving earlier can check in to the hotel by 12:00 PM and explore the city on their own. This is a great opportunity for some shopping or sightseeing.
•⁠ ⁠Recommended attractions for the day:
* Patrika Gate
* Hawa Mahal

Day 2 – Jan 20 | Jaipur

•⁠ ⁠Visit major attractions in Jaipur:
* Amer Fort
* Jal Mahal
* City Palace
* Jantar Mantar
•⁠ ⁠In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
•⁠ ⁠Post dinner, depart for Jaisalmer in our exclusive coach.

Day 3 – Jan 21 | Jaisalmer

•⁠ ⁠Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and freshen up.
•⁠ ⁠After breakfast, explore:
* Jaisalmer Fort
* Patwon ki Haveli
•⁠ ⁠Post lunch, proceed to Sam Sand Dunes and check in at the desert camp.
* Enjoy Camel Safari and Jeep Safari amidst the golden dunes.

Day 4 – Jan 22 | Jaisalmer – Jodhpur

•⁠ ⁠Morning check-out from the desert camp.
•⁠ ⁠Visit:
* Gadisar Lake
•⁠ ⁠Later, drive to Jodhpur (Sun City) in our exclusive vehicle.
•⁠ ⁠On arrival, check in at the hotel.

Day 5 – Jan 23 | Jodhpur – Udaipur

•⁠ ⁠Early risers can plan a visit to the Old City (Blue City). Buddy will help arrange suitable local transport such as rickshaws.
•⁠ ⁠After check-out, visit:
* Mehrangarh Fort
* Jaswant Thada
•⁠ ⁠Post sightseeing, drive to Udaipur (Lake City). En route, time permitting, visit Ranakpur.

Day 6 – Jan 24 | Udaipur

•⁠ ⁠Explore Udaipur’s highlights (On this day, we will switch to rickshaws for local travel, as larger vehicles cannot access the narrow roads leading to City Palace and other nearby attractions.):
* City Palace
* Pichola Lake (Boating)
* Fateh Sagar Lake
•⁠ ⁠The trip concludes with a visit to Fateh Sagar Lake followed by lunch at a nearby spot. You’re free to explore local markets afterward and return to the hotel at your convenience. Buddy will be available to guide you with market recommendations and local transportation options.

For those wishing to explore further, you can extend your stay at your own expense. Recommended day trips:

FAQ

Why is the pickup in Jaipur and not from Kerala?

As participants are joining from across India, a centralized pickup is more manageable.

Will I have companions from my city?

Yes, after registration, you’ll be added to a group with other Appooppanthaadi travelers where you can connect with fellow participants.

Do I need to carry my bags everywhere?

No, your bags can be left in your hotel room during stays.

Should I bring my own blankets?

No, all necessary bedding will be provided by the hotels.

Can I bring my child?

Yes.
Kids below 2yr have no charges. (No seat and no extra bed)
Kids above 5yr is same as adults.

When should I reach Jaipur

Our airport pick up is at 04:00PM. Those who are reaching early or late, the hotel is 12km from the airport and Uber and Ola are available in the city. Once registration and payment are done, you will get details of your fellow travellers and can plan travel plans together.

When should I book my return tickets?

As the trip ends on day 6 night, preferably you book your tickets the next day. Check-out time is 9.00AM.

As food is not included in the itinerary, will you stop at restaurants for the same?

Of course!

What about the climate?

It will be cold at night and early in the morning. So better you carry a fleece jacket in hand for that time. Daytime will be warm.

⁠I am 50+yr old, I too can join this trip?

Yes. Age and mindset will be different from person to person. Some people trek at the age of 60+ too. So after reading the itinerary and you have to walk around to visit the fort and palaces, if you think you can do it, we are a pleasure to welcome you to the team.

After payment, if I cancel the trip, will I get a refund?

It’s strictly as per the cancellation policy which is written below. So please read it before making any payment after registration

If I extend my trips after Udaipur, will you help me plan and arrange stay and transportation?

  • Within 8 Days of Departure: 100% cancellation charges apply with no refunds.
