Know before you go

  • Transportation mode is Tempo Traveller and we will have on pick up from Guwahati Airport at 4PM and drop off on Day 7 by 9AM. You can plan your travel according to this to avail pick up and drop off
  • We have 7-8 hours journey everyday with high altitudes
  • All the roads have hairpin curves and those who have motion sickness please consider this
  • Personal identification is mandatory to carry on tour for Air Travel, Hotels for security reason like: election card, Driving License, Passport
  • In the region, scarcity of water & electricity is a natural phenomenon. Guests are requested to bear with such problems as may arise during the tour
  • This trip is to experience snow and winter and if any unfavourable situation comes as rain or heavy snowfall, the promised view may not be possible.
  • Places/Passes/Temples or anything mentioned in itineray may close without prior notice, in that case we may try to find another option or we may left with no option
  • No reimbursement will be provided for any services of the trip that remain unused.
  • It is recommended to carry enough warm clothes and the right kind of shoes for the tour. The advisable baggage weight is 60 litres as you might have to carry the luggage to the backup vehicle, the accommodation, etc.
  • Carry enough cash as the number of ATMs in high-altitude regions are comparatively less and there are long queues at times.
  • The advisable baggage limit is 1 rucksack per member.

Day 1: April 5th

Landing at Guwahati (Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport) airport and reaching hotel to fresh up
You can roam around the city on your own that day for sightseeing. You can visit Kamakya Temple, Uma Nanda Temple and go for evening cruise in Brahmaputra if you reach early

Day 2: April 6th

5:00AM: Starting to Bomdilla
on the way breakfast and lunch
6:00PM: Check in at hotel at Bomdilla
6:30PM: Visit Bomdila Market
8:00PM: Back to hotel

Day 3: April 7th

5:30AM: Starting to Tawang
on the way visit Seila pass and lake, Jaswant singh memorial
Break fast is on the way at Kameng
4:30PM: Visit War memorial and watch light and sound show
8:00PM check in at Tawang hotel and dinner

Day 4: April 8th

7:30AM: Starting to Bum la and on the way breakfast
9:00AM: Reaching Bum la
9:30AM: Returning from Bum la and on the way visit PT Tso lake and Shungster lake (Madhuri lake)
3:00PM: Reach back Tawang and Visit Monastery and local market with shopping
7:00PM: Back to hotel

Day 5: April 9th

Tawang to Bomdila
6:30AM: Visit 6th Dalai lama’s birth place and Jang (Nurarang waterfalls) and have breakfast
7:00PM: Reach Bomdila and stay there.

Day 6: April 10th

6:30AM: Visit Bomdilla Monastry
8:00AM: Start to Guwahti and reach late evening

Day 7: April 11th

FAQ

Why the joining point is Guwahati, why not anywhere in Kerala?

As people are joining from different parts of India its difficult to manage them. So picking up from everywhere is not possible.

Will I get any companions to travel from my city?

Of course, once you register and pay, you will get added to the group of travellers who are in for this trip. There you can see other people travelling from your city

Do we need to carry our bags everywhere?

No. During the stay at each place, you can keep the bag in your room.

Do I need to carry any blankets?

No. Hotels will provide pillows, blankets and other necessities for the stay

Can I take my kid along with me on this trip?

Yes, you can.
We dont recommend Kids below 5yrs due to the terrain we are travelling and the difficulties you may face with altitude and climate changes

Does this trip include trekking?

No

As food is not included in the itinerary, will you stop at restaurants for the same?

Of course!

What about the climate?

It will be cold and you need all winter gears

I am 50+yr old, I too can join this trip?

Yes. Age and mindset will be different from people to people. Some people trek at the age of 60+ too. So after reading the itinerary and you have to walk around and if you think you can do it, it is a pleasure to welcome you to the team.

After payment, if I cancel the trip, will I get a refund?

It’s strictly as per cancellation policy which is written below. So please read it before making any payment after registration

When should I book my return tickets?

As trip ends on Day 6, preferably you book your tickets next day. Check out time is 9.00AM.

When should I reach Guwahati?

You can reach any time on Day 1 and it is convenient if you can reach before its too late in the evening (before 7PM). The hotel is 12km from the airport and prepaid taxis are available in the city. You can travel on your own from airport to hotel and once registration and payment are done, you will get details of your fellow travellers and can plan travel plans together.

Cancellation Policy
  • For cancellations done prior to the 30 days or more of the date of departure, the initial deposit amount or 25% of the tour cost will be charged as cancellation charges.
  • For cancellations done between 29 days to 15 days prior to the date of departure, 50% of the tour cost will be charged as cancellation charges.
  • For cancellations done between 14 days to 8 days of the tour, 75% of the tour cost will be charged as cancellation charges
  • ⁠For cancellations done within 8 days of the tour, 100% cancellation charges will apply and you will receive no refunds.
  • No refund of money is admissible on cancellations due to any type of contingencies or unforeseen circumstances including, but not limited to natural calamities, lockdowns, any covid induced scenarios or otherwise
