Know before you go

  • Personal identification is mandatory to carry on tour for Air Travel, Hotels for security reasons like: election card, Driving License, Passport, or Aadhar
  • Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; it is advisable that you take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.
  • It is recommended to carry enough warm clothes and the right kind of shoes for the tour. The advisable baggage weight is 60 litres as you might have to carry the luggage to the vehicle, the accommodation, etc.
  • Carry dry snacks/food, granola bars, etc. from home. Carry a regular and another insulated water bottle with you, so that you can refill.
  • Carry enough cash as the number of ATMs in high-altitude regions are comparatively less and there are long queues at times.
  • During the trip, in case the roads are blocked due to landslides or a reason that is beyond control, we will rearrange the itinerary for the travellers real-time, however, the cost of alternative accommodation will be borne by the customer as the hotels pre-booked execute their cancellation policies and are nonrefundable.
  • This trek is highly recommended for those who have previously completed treks above 15,000 ft and maintain a regular daily workout routine.
Itinerary

Day 01 (Apr 3): Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)

Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport.
Meet and greet by our representative.
Private transfer to the hotel.
Trek briefing and document check.
Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02 (Apr 4): Fly to Lukla (2,860m) – Trek to Phakding (2,610m)

Early morning flight to Lukla.
Meet the trekking crew.
Trek to Phakding (3–4 hours).
Overnight at a teahouse.

Day 03 (Apr 5): Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

Cross several suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River.
Enter Sagarmatha National Park.
Climb to Namche Bazaar.
Trek: 6–7 hours.
Overnight at a teahouse.

Day 04 (Apr 6) : Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar

Short hike to Everest View Hotel or Khumjung Village.
Enjoy panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku.
Return to Namche.
Overnight at a teahouse.

Day 05 (Apr 7): Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,860m)

Scenic trail with spectacular Himalayan views.
Visit the famous Tengboche Monastery.
Trek: 5–6 hours.
Overnight at a teahouse.

Day 06 (Apr 8): Tengboche to Dingboche (4,410m)

Descend through rhododendron forests.
Cross Imja River and continue to Dingboche.
Trek: 5–6 hours.
Overnight at a teahouse.

Day 07 (Apr 9): Acclimatization Day at Dingboche

Hike to Nangkartshang Peak or nearby viewpoint.
Return to Dingboche for rest.
Overnight at a teahouse.

Day 08 (Apr 10): Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940m)

Trek via Thukla Pass and Everest Memorial.
Continue to Lobuche.
Trek: 5–6 hours.
Overnight at a teahouse.

Day 09 (Apr 11) : Lobuche – Gorakshep – Everest Base Camp (5,364m) – Gorakshep (5,164m)

Trek to Gorakshep.
Continue to Everest Base Camp.
Explore the Base Camp and return to Gorakshep.
Trek: 7–8 hours.
Overnight at a teahouse.

Day 10 (Apr 12) : Gorakshep – Kala Patthar (5,545m) – Pheriche (4,240m)

Early morning hike to Kala Patthar for sunrise over Mount Everest.
Descend to Pheriche.
Trek: 7–8 hours.
Overnight at a teahouse.

Day 11 (Apr 13) : Pheriche to Namche Bazaar

Descend through Pangboche and Tengboche.
Continue to Namche Bazaar.
Trek: 6–7 hours.
Overnight at a teahouse.

Day 12 (Apr 14) : Namche Bazaar to Lukla

Descend to Phakding and continue to Lukla.
Trek: 6–7 hours.
Celebrate the successful completion of the trek.
Overnight at a teahouse.

Day 13 (Apr 15) : Fly to Kathmandu

Morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu.
Transfer to the hotel.
Free time for shopping or sightseeing.
Farewell dinner.
Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 14 (Apr 16) : Final Departure

Breakfast at the hotel.
Private airport transfer according to your international flight schedule.

To where and when should we reach and also return?

You should reach Kathmandu by April 3rd. You can book your return from Kathmandu on April 16th

Do I need to be highly fit for this trip?

Yes, as its a high altitude difficult trek. Those who have done himalayan trekking above 12,000ft above are recommeneded for this

Do we need to carry our bags everywhere?

Yes, You have to carry your bags everywhere or porters

After payment, if I cancel the trip, will I get a refund?

It’s strictly as per cancellation policy which is written below. So please read it before making any payment after registration

What if I couldnt complete the trek and coming back to Kathmandu earlier than the expected arrival? Will Appooppanthaadi met my expenses for the extra stay and food?

No. If anyone is off the itinerary, from that day onwards the expenses are their own

What if the trek get cancelled or postponed due to bad weather or any government regulations, will Appooppanthaadi met our expenses for the extra stay and food?

No. You have to pay your own expenses

Will there be assistance to do the workouts for the trek?

Yes and you have to update it daily

Whats the fitness level expecting for this trek?

What if I am not able to meet this fitness level till the last month of trekking?

You will not be allowed to trek with the team and with a 10% cancellation charges, your registration will be cancelled

** Any failure to pay EMI on time will lead to cancellation of registration without refund

  • For cancellations done prior to the 30 days or more of the date of departure, 25% of the tour cost will be charged as cancellation charges.
  • For cancellations done between 29 days to 15 days prior to the date of departure, 50% of the tour cost will be charged as cancellation charges.
  • For cancellations done between 14 days to 8 days of the tour, 75% of the tour cost will be charged as cancellation charges
  • ⁠For cancellations done within 8 days of the tour, 100% cancellation charges will apply and you will receive no refunds.
  • No refund of money is admissible on cancellations due to any type of contingencies or unforeseen circumstances including, but not limited to natural calamities, lockdowns, any covid induced scenarios or otherwise
